If someone asked you to summon a mental image that you associate with Sedona, Arizona, what would you think of? You are most likely imagining red rocks, vibrant forests, or stunning landscapes. If you know Sedona more intimately, you might be thinking of Cathedral Rock or Oak Creek Canyon. Sedona is of course known for it’s breathtaking beauty but the people of Sedona also create their own beauty. One of the largest shopping centers in the area is Gallery Row.The collection of plazas are set in a beautiful location, surrounded by Sedona’s signature red rocks and stunning views. Hillside Sedona is one of these plazas.  Home decor is easy to find here, including luxury rugs and bronzework, as well as clothing handmade by local artisans. Hozho Plaza is another, known for the distinctive art styles represented through their diverse galleries. This includes the Hike House, a gear store that also offers free information about surrounding hiking trails, tours, and an Energy Cafe which offers delicious healthy food such as smoothies, baked-goods, and a make your own trail mix station. There are also a plethora of amazing restaurants throughout the row for you to refuel at during your shopping spree.

One of the best known places to shop in Sedona is Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village. Tlaquepaque means the "best of everything” and the space was originally conceived as an artist community. It remains a center of artistic talent and artists can still be seen sitting in the village, creating or getting inspired. The types of products sold here include jewelry, clothing, contemporary art, and other specialty items.

The Shops at Hyatt PiƱon Pointe is one of the newest shopping areas in Sedona. The stores are dotted between three open air courtyards to let in the view of the surrounding red rocks and sunshine. The latest fashion and jewelry can be found as well as some decedent treats.

Much of the artistic scene in Sedona is thanks to the local Native American tribes. Many different groups of people can trace roots to Sedona and the surrounding area, namely the Apache, the Navajo, the Yavapai, and the Hopi.
